Mediation

Mediation is an effective way of resolving a variety of disputes. By using a qualified, independent, and impartial third party. It provides a safe, structured, and positive environment for all parties to come together and share their viewpoint. Parties involved in Mediation remain in control of the outcome and influence the resulting mutual agreement.

PMC345 offers independent mediation in the following areas.

Neighbour, community, family relationships, landlord and tenant and workplace.

Once you have contacted us or a referral is received, we will arrange an initial meeting where we will discuss the issues and how you would like to resolve the situation. Once we have agreed on the way forward, a neutral venue will be identified to hold a meeting of all parties concerned.

There is no absolute timeline for the completion of the mediation process but wherever possible we aim to complete cases within a 4-week period.

So, what are the benefits of Mediation?

Mediation is an established and proven method of dispute resolution which can save those involved not only a great deal of time and stress but also removes the need for protracted court proceedings. Mediation allows individuals to negotiate their own outcomes in a structured and safe environment.

Employers particularly will benefit by often retaining their best talent whilst improving team performance.

Employees who feel valued and whose mental health is being cared for will return that trust and create a more cohesive working environment.

What do the Mediators do?

They are independent of all parties and do not take sides or make judgments about the outcome. Their role is to help parties involved to share their viewpoints and opinions on how best a resolution can be reached. In short, they facilitate communication.
